My Godfather, Ellis, was a very methodical and pragmatic civil
engineering graduate UW-Madison, and worked for the Wisconsin
Highway Department.  As a result he got around District 8, his
home region, a great deal
 
You would never predict that such a sober man would be the one
always to find and bring us some spring pussy-willows.  This  was
always as much a sign of spring as daffodils.
