I have a rotating hip screw for my troubles. The broken neck of the
femur and installed metalwork healed just fine>>>>>
Both my hips just collapsed (about six months apart) because of
the aseptic necrosis - IOW, the head of each femur had become
demineralized. The total hip replacement surgery (titanium alloys)
was 25 years ago.
I wish you a speedy recovery, and don't be afraid to ask for
strong pain relief in the immediate post-operative stage. Sometimes
they forget how painful bone pain can be.
David Strang.
