Prayers rising from Kansas!>>>>>

The spaniel has had two platelet transfusions and a dose of mild
chemo to spur on her own bone marrow, and the figures from the
morning labs are very much improved. She is looking very much
better, and this all makes Wilfred feel much better.

Because of the seizures, the vet specialist wanted "to make us aware
of the availability of a neurology workup at a tertiary care location,"
which for us would be either Ithaca or Philadelphia, and which
would cost something like an additional $5,000. I suggested we
just take our chances as once before after one of these episodes
two years ago. The dog is, after all, 16 years old. That's about the
normal life expectancy for a Cocker Spaniel. If there is continuing
trouble, I think the only logical choice is to put her down.

Wilfred is handling this better than I thought he would. Keep the
prayers coming for him.

David Strang.
