[Magdalen] What today's Stanford appt yielded.

I just wrote this to a friend who was greatly desirous to know how things went.  See after that for more comments.

Today's specialist opinion is that the rash on my trunk is still looking and behaving like lymphoma, AND -- get ready -- the vasculitis on my legs and feet is looking and behaving less and less like vasculitis.  Why?  Because the biopsy on the foot, which they're not done with yet, showed up lymphocytes like on my trunk.  But they're not totally sure yet.  More molecular testing on the biopsy.  But it's dermatology specialists' considered opinion that it's very likely they are already redundant, and my wounds no longer need wound care per se.  I'll be hearing very soon from Dr Kim at Stanford Hospital for setting up an appointment.  Dr Kim is a cancer specialist.  They also took more blood, and had me do a chest x-ray.  At this point, the feeling I got when leaving today was that I possibly won't be seeing my friends in Redwood City again.  I was also encouraged, HIGHLY encouraged, to get my Clark appointment (currently 02/23) moved up post haste.

I'm waiting until the Dr Kim appt to know more before I tell Everett, so hopefully I have something good to tell him.  I won't deny I'm worried, but I also won't deny my own dance with mortality-thinking over the last year has had me prepared for a while now.  Prepared for what?  Hopefully nothing.  "Here, pop this pill and all will be well."  One never knows.  But that's just it.  One never knows.
