[Magdalen] Prayer request: job security

Thank you, Christopher! The current line on our sales group (which has
sales and business development people, solution designers, pricing
people, and proposal people like me) is that the company we're merging
with has nothing like it, so we'll still be quite valuable to the
merged business. Monday is rumored to be a big layoff day, so there's
a danger I'll either be one of those laid off or will hear some sad
news of others I work with as staffs get trimmed. Lots of
uncertainties, but it's a busy week for me on a project, so I'll have
plenty to do besides hang out for bad news.

If our whole group were laid off (which heaven forbid), at least I'm
the only one in Chicago, so it's not like there would be a crowd of us
here looking for the same type of job. Not that it'll be easy in any
case, but chances are better here in Chicago than in many other
places. One way or another...
