If you say the fetus is a person, then you're saying abortion is murder, so
yes, you are saying that. And my sole point is that this is an opinion you
are most welcome to have, but most folks do not share that conviction. I
most certainly believe the fetus is not a human being. We simply have
differing opinions as to when actual human life begins. Some do not believe
the infant is a human being until well after birth. I find that view quite
persuasive, but I'm okay with others having a different opinion, so long as
we all realize that all of our views are opinions.
So, no, in a regular abortion, it's not correct to say that one person
dies, in my opinion. If it were a person, it would be murder, and we would
never permit another abortion.
If we were to take that position, then the leading killer of infant humans
is god, since a huge number of pregnancies end in spontaneous abortions.
Been there. Done that.
