I had migraines, a very simple form, horribly painful one-sided
headaches, as a side-effect of The Pill, way back when, '65+, about once
a week or so. Aspirin, coffee, go to bed. I valued that Pill, because
I really didn't want to be pregnant, so I just put up with them. I've
always been a headachey person, anyway, but not as painful as those. I
think at that time there was only one kind of Pill. The only other time
was if I somehow managed to be without coffee for 24 hours or so, and
those times I felt sick all over, but not nauseated or anything. I did
break the caffeine addiction by tapering off onto decaf, very very
slowly, but decided that I _had_ to have the morning boost, just to live
a normal life, so took it up again in more limited dosage than I had had
earlier.
