Negotiations are not going well between our SEIU chapter and Monterey County, regarding our contract to expire June 30.  We've gone over the deadline before, but only because progress was being made.  At this point, no progress at all.  I may be looking at having to stay home on strike for the first time in my life.  And me, with no savings to fall back on.

Sigh.
