I think I remember that scene, and yes, I too did...

Disney had a gift for pulling on the heart strings.  Some folks criticized
Disney for being corny.  He wondered what on earth was the matter with
that. "I love corny."  Me too, Walt.

Wasn't there also a scene at the pound when all the dogs howl along to
"There's no Place like home."
