A thicker, more opaque additive *can* have that effect, depending.  But even though red wine vinegar can stain the lace doiliness of life, the likelihood it'll give anything other than the slightest tinge of pink is slim.

(Thick, goopy chili sauce does discolor, but even those came out only slightly red.)
