No, that's not what I remember.
And I've worked with people who err in the opposite direction, replacing
"who" with "whom" because they think it sounds classy or smart.
Yesterday a young mother was carrying her toddler into the library.
"Library," she said. "Library."
"Wye-bewwy," he replied.
