It's funny how we can have these little things we never quite got.  I
thought for years that "interest" was pronounced "IN-trest" as well as
"IN-trest-ing", "IN-trest-ed" etc. And it wasn't til my wife told me that
Who isn't "Hoo".

But then, I'm from Western PA, where, when we clean house, we say we "red
up."  And nobody knows why.
