He was the sidekick to Joan Rivers when I was in the live studio
audience (as opposed to the dead one) in Burbank for The Tonight Show
Starring Joan Rivers way back when (1980-ish). Other guests were
Daniel J. Travanti (Hill Street Blues) and Lee Greenwood ("God Bless
the USA").

May Gary rest in peace.
