I'm not that smart or knowledgeable about a lot of this stuff, but your 
Kindle does store _everything_ in Kindle/Amazon's cloud.  Even if there 
isn't room for it on your device, it's "in the cloud".  My Kindle device 
died The Death a couple of years ago, and I got a new one and got 
everything I'd had back by downloading it from The Cloud.  It's your backup.
