I do a lot of small-object photography. It's all about lighting.

I've found that the camera built into my iPhone 6 is significantly 
better for photographing jewelry than a Nikon or Canon or other similar 
brand unless you spend more than $500 on the camera. My $4000 Canon SLR 
can make a better photograph than my $500 iPhone 6, but viewed on the 
web you'll never be able to see the difference.
