[Magdalen] Two things I love about Election Eve 2016...

These were the required distance away--I don't know what that is--and there was some literature there, but no one was handing anything to people. Only two tables, one per party, right next to each other, and we were all kind of hanging out together.
The couple at the Republican table were parishioners at the little church where I'm priest-associate. They're very conservative, so I wasn't surprised, but it gave me a chance to ask someone whom I know to be a faithful Christian how she could support Trump, given everything. She said she didn't support him, but it was about the party, and the fact that the country is on the wrong track. Then she asked me the same question about Hilary. I said she is far and away the more qualified and experienced. My friend said she couldn't vote for H because she enabled her husband's affairs...
I just had a call from the local Dem chairman. I was supposed to give someone a ride to the polls in a little while. She called the chair and said she's in Charlottesville now, and could we give her a ride tomorrow instead!!
