Not promising for the Democrats in the Senate. 2020 brings the next 
Presidential election and the chance to express a verdict on what 
happens with White House, Senate and House all (at least nominally) 
Republican. It is also Census year, which probably means redistricting 
in some states. If the Democratic Party takes control in more states 
then that could mean a fairer system without so much gerrymandering, or 
at least not building in Republican control of the House.
