That ain't going to happen as it would need a constitutional amendment 
which almost certainly would not get the requisite support at state 
level. Additionally if it turns out that the Democrats have got the 
plurality of the popular vote this year as they did in 2000 would a 
Republican Congress really vote to do away with the Electoral College?
