[Magdalen] Morning Prayer today

a strange service we have once in awhile
to appease some curmudgeon in the congregation
(I know not who and I don't wanna neither)

The epistle ("Thessadocians") read by an ancient woman with a remarkably
strong voice, a notorious conservative, who read the reproach of those who
will not work with particularly vindictive relish.

The Gospel (Luke 21: 5-19), one of those scary readings chosen by the
prescient (to follow election day).
