We were taught using the Palmer method, I think. We used the
worksheets with the lines for the top, bottom, and middle (so the hump
of a lowercase h needed to come up and touch that middle line, for
instance...I think the middle line was dashed). I never liked the Q
that looks like a 2 and stopped doing that as soon as no one made me
do it that way anymore.
