[Magdalen] Two questions for the assembled multitude

It gives you a second chance if you weren't ready the first time...that
actually happened to me a while back.
I've long been in the camp that thought the POHA a needless Calvinistic
hangover and grovel, but that day I really wasn't straight and missed the
mark completely with the Penitence. I really was not worthy to receive and
no pretence otherwise was possible...
By the time I'd worked through the Ministry of the Word, the preaching and
thanksgiving, I was fairly desperate to hear "you are the same God, whose
nature is always to have mercy".
One concludes that those who formed the Liturgy had their reasons for most
things and they were good reasons on the whole.
