Yes, and we've got a P-I-C at Ascension, Chicago, too. Appointed by
the bishop is the difference, I think, as well as for a defined term,
possibly extendable or renewable. He's doing a sparklingly great job,
including a lot of hard work to heal the culture. All on top of daily
Masses (shared with his also sparkling associate/mentor), visitations,
and the rest.
And hosting the crew of Fox TV's The Exorcist...most recent episode
had a lot happen on our premises. Nothing in the church proper, but
the main parish hallway, narthex, and sacristy hallway. Wild to see
intense scenes being acted in such deeply familiar locations. Even
more intense (involving exorcism itself) in the OSA convent next door.
I'd know that heavy woodwork anywhere.
Anyway, money from letting them film there has already paid for a
much-needed roof repair so the narthex doesn't turn into a lake again.
But I digress...
