I think that given the short tenure of your last Rector that us a 
reasonable thing to do. Give someone a reasonable length of time to 
effect change and provide a stable siuation before a new Rector is 
called. Sometimes there are no major issues and a year or so of an 
interim is sufficient. Where a Rector has been called and not stayed 
then that is a sign that there could be more deep-seated issues that 
need to be resolved. Such a situation is all the more reason why, Scott, 
it was right for you to decline the invitation to serve as Junior 
Warden. I am glad you had that phone conversation and that the person 
you spoke with affirmed your qualities and what you can still offer to 
Ascension. I regard that as a Good Outcome.
