Thanks -  we've had a chickadee population explosion this year - they come 
nonstop to the feeder all day, every day. Must be 2-3 dozen around, at 
least. And our neighbors 1/4 up the road have even more. Several nuthatches 
as well.

If you scroll down a few rows you'll see pictures of our visit last month to 
Santa Rosa Island in the Channel Islands Nat'l. Park (near LA). An island 
the size of Martha's Vineyard and we were the only ones there other than a 
couple of NPS rangers and some folks digging up a mammoth skull.
