Dawn had to put down Sofi, her 18 year old black cat, about 3 months ago.
We went to the local no-kill shelter last Saturday to get another black
cat.  (Dawn has always had black cats and I've always had calicos.)

A 4 month old black cat chose Dawn.  She has close to a roman collar, but
it's more round and her name is Luna.  I call her "who-deetch", which my
mother once said was Slovenian for 'devil'.  She is full of kitten and is
slowly getting used to my calico, Scarfie.

A cat is such a blessing.
