The Germans are rather hard on drunk drivers. At the same time, they
will permit for some such things as drinking on the job. German
champagne ("sext") is much appropriate in lieu of tipping or for
seasonal, especially Christmas, gifting.

There was one intersection not far from our apartment that featured the
unlikely crossing of three busy streets and two streetcar lines. During
the day, this intersection was commandeered by a City of Frankfurt/M
policeman with white gloves standing on a circular affair to elevate him
above the street. He was portly, but surprisingly balletic and ruled that
intersection beautifully.

At Christmas and New Years, his little throne was surrounded by dozens
of bottles of sext.
