I think Zaccheus should be the patron saint of all of us vertically-challenged people!

Thanks to my So Bapt childhood, I have a very clear Sunday School memory of a picture on the wall of short Zacchaeus climbing the tree to see Jesus as he passed by. Lots of good memories from those days, in spite of the bad ones. Having had one of the best Sunday School teachers of all time seemingly each and every year from preschool thru several years, who was also a dear from of my mother's, must have been the ticket.

(And to bring this around to politics, though I'm sure I've mentioned it before, in 1976 when I and my parents visited my father's homeland of Alvarado, Texas, Pop went out of his way to show me the tree he climbed once to see FDR as he went through town.)
