Click the Maximize (square) button next to the X in the upper-right
corner of one of your Word document windows. Then drag that window all
the way to the left edge of your screen, and it will automatically
take up the left half of the screen. Then open your other Word
document and do the same, but drag its window to the right edge. Then
you should be able to see both documents, each in its own half of the
screen.

If it's hard to locate the other document under a bunch of windows,
use Alt+Tab to cycle through the open windows until you find it.

This may take a few attempts before it's all in place.
