[Magdalen] A few travelin' prayers

Lee & I leave tomorrow (plane departs BTV @ 5:45 AM!; arrive LAX 1 PM) for Californ-i-a and a visit with son Christopher. He’s in the last stages of a program in dosimetry and has most of September off and suggested we come out there, rather than he coming here. So – we will be camping on Santa Rosa of Channel Islands NP Monday through Wednesday. We’ll be at the single primitive campsite on this 84 sq. mile island. No facilities other than water. Looks like a fascinating place. Then, later in the week we go to Joshua Tree NP for a day or two. Back home Sunday the 18th. Hopefully lots of nature and little of crowded LA.

I will stay subbed, but obviously won’t have any internet (or cell phone, for that matter) on the Channel Is. and probably not at Joshua Tree either.
