Marion, you and all for whom you care and are grieving are in my prayers.
I am one who struggles during the holiday build up...have learned to take
better care of myself over the years. We put up our tree yesterday which
is early but we had a day to do it. Our ornaments have dwindled to mostly
angels and the lights are white...it really is a lovely sight of the
gathering of heavenly hosts to welcome the Christ child and the Christ of
eternity.
I am so sad about Jon Egger. What a dear, dear man and faithful child of
God. Thanks, Ann for correcting me on Dawn's name. They and their adopted
daughter whose name I cannot remember are in my continuing prayers. May
Jon continue at peace and may this be a holy time for all of them.
I learned today that a friend, who had been in hospice for about two weeks,
died last night. Also, we have lost two neighbors to cancer in December.
The man my sister dates is in terrible distress with diabetes and probably
cancer. Our Ginny began a flare of her rheumatoid arthritis last
week...modern medicine has worked a miracle but she is still quite
uncomfortable. ETC. It's that time of life, I suppose, but sadness
abounds.
To quote Tiny Tim, "God bless us everyone."
