Here's a blast from the past: I still use a flip phone! I get a free
smartphone and free service plan thanks to my job being in the Sales
category. So for my personal phone, I went with Boost Mobile back when the
by-the-minute plan was 10 cents per minute. I still pay that rate until I
make any change to my phone. So I use the flip phone to call Mom on Sunday
evenings. Nine hours, which I could never do, would cost, um... 9x60=540,
times $0.10. $54. Normally Mom and I talk 30-60 minutes, so that's just
$3-6, I reckon.

I should really look into a new Boost Mobile phone and unlimited plan, I
guess.
