reading. There's an unheated pool here that attracts the quiet.
While the heated pool attracts the chatty. And I wonder,
how is it the laughter of children is delightful,
but the laughter of old people is harsh and ugly?

And a woman comes over to chat :-(
She's smoking :-(

Tells us how sad she is that some guy from Fox news has died.
We look blank. Explain we don't have cable. Tell her it sounds sad,
though,

"I'm religious about Fox," she claims. "I call it the *real* news,
the *true* news."

And she ambles back to her old hairy husband.

I think I might be feeling a little homesick.
