[Magdalen] sadness for me

​Listmates,
One of my colleagues in ministry in West Missouri, the Reverend Deacon
Leslie Hoover, died this morning after a long battle with kidney disease.
She and I were rooms apart when I was in Bishop Spencer Place earlier this
year.  As our bishop noted in an email, she was the first black woman
ordained to Holy Orders in West Missouri.​  This death hits me hard as
Leslie and I spent spent time together with the Daily Offices at Bishop
Spencer Place.  She will be missed.
