[Magdalen] He whose name must not be mentioned

"Sanctified snowflakes" - When the author of the piece stoops to
name-calling in the very first sentence, it is difficult to take their
opinion as worthy of consideration. Sadly, it got even worse when I
followed the link to the full column.

That said, I have some concerns about the choice All Saints has made,
but this piece is a deliberately inflammatory "hit job" that does not
seek to inform, but to bully: to demean those with whom its author
disagrees.

For those who would like to hear what the parish is doing and why, I
point to two blog posts from their rector:
http://ascideas.org/2017/01/06/we-pray-for-our-leaders/ and
http://ascideas.org/2017/01/13/a-word-from-the-rector/

I will note that "This is a pastoral decision — and it is an interim
decision." I also note that there appear to be people with actual
qualifications for understanding and discerning trauma on the parish's
staff, so I have far more trust in their judgment than that of this
obviously-biased author.
