No, I said I'd never *heard* him, not that I'd never heard of him! And there are lots of contemporary pop singers that I've never actually heard.
And I get hip-hop and rap mixed up--don't know the difference!
I heard an interview on "Fresh Air" the other day with the man who wrote the music and, I think, played in "Hamilton." I was surprised to learn that it uses rap for the songs.
