The official United Methodist treatise on the Eucharist, is
surprisingly high church.  Parts of it seem almost to have
been written in the Vatican.
 
There is, though, the dichotomy between this official view, and
that of the rank and file Methodists.  There is relatively  little
jump from this official Methodist tome to the belief of Anglicans.
However, my Methodist relatives who are familiar with "This
Holy Mystery" regard it as being written on another planet.
