There was a study a couple of weeks ago that purported to show
that Trump has had an abnormal decline in vocabulary in recent
years.  They had video clips that showed him speaking in what  could
be considered a more fluent manner.  I hasten to add that this was  not
a major study that should be believed as gospel. The study did  ascribe
this phenomenon to an "abnormal aging process."
