I've been fortunate enough to hear her preach :-)

The anti-abortion thing is cultural, though, by which I mean:
I know dozens of RCs here and all practice birth control and
are laissez faire re: abortion. The clergy rant and the faithful
roll their eyes.

My perspective suggests you're more likely to meet the
anti-abortion laity (regardless of church membership)
in the red states. And I include my SIL, a life-long Episcopalian
in western Virginia.
