[Magdalen] Canadian takeover?

I've loved everything about Canada since the first time my parents took us
to London to visit Storybook Gardens, and then to Toronto for the Ontario
Science Centre. As a kid, I was thrilled with the greater sense of graphic
design I saw there. Maybe I went into the wrong career (although I do use
some of that design sense on my job, despite not being an artist).
The first time I heard anything negative about Canada was from a friend who
grew up there, and he was an organist. He had a very driven, fearless
personality and lamented that the milieu he came from was exceedingly
mediocre and self-deprecating (in his opinion, of course). I think this
complaint had mostly to do with the musical culture of the churches he had
experienced, not everyone in general. So it was a rather specific criticism.
As far as I'm concerned, Canada is golden.
