I'm watching MSNBC for several hours weeknights.
 
The drift of discussion there seems to me to be that
Trump's core supporters are pushing the GOP to
give him leeway to get away with anything so long
as it appears he is accomplishing his agenda
 
Trump's own summary that he "can shoot a guy in 
Times Square" and get away with it emphasizes 
how firmly these supporters are behind him.
 
Meanwhile the majority of Americans continue to 
be appalled with Trump's behavior.
 
Giving up Trump for Lent sounds like a great idea, but
there is very little else in the news but his almost daily
