LOL!  I was making a joke too.  Maybe a good glas of red wine would help!
I have nasty reactions to pain meds, which may be a good thing.   Avoid
them at all costs.

I had 5 post surgical rehabs.  No it wasn't easy but I was motivated.
After the poor response to surgery #3, a friend who was an orthopaedic
surgical nurse in the Navy told me outright that if I could get out of
pain, I wouldn't care that use of the arm was not so great.  The hand
surgeon did two more surgeries, removing everything in the joint  that was
blocking free movement.  My friend was right.  And, my use of that arm is
okay.
