[Magdalen] Lapel pins

My impression is that during President Obama's administration prominent 
male (the same was not always as feasible for the females) 
administration personnel wore a lapel pin of the US flag. That does not 
always appear to be the case in the current administration. There are 
even pictures of the President apparently without the pin at CIA 
Headquarters on 21 January, at Central Command Headquarters on 6 
February, and at the National Musum of African-American History and 
Culture on 21 February (when Ben Carsons, Secretary of HUD is also 
apparently pin-less).
