I used to be part of a John Milton list, and noted that in a photograph of an eatery across the street from his birthplace a grotesque apostrophe gaffe was unfortunate considering the restaurant's location.  Someone immediately posted back the first line of Paradise Lost from an early edition:

"Of Mans First Disobedience...."
