[Magdalen] House vote.

This is "supposed to be" a budget reconciliation bill, which is not subject
to filibuster in the Senate. They can only do this once a year, so if it is
voted on and fails, then that's it for health care "reform" for this year.
This is also why there are certain aspects of Obamacare they can't change,
since everything in the bill (since it's theoretically a budget
reconciliation measure) must deal with money. Changing Obamacare any other
way means a filibuster in the Senate, and it wouldn't pass.

I might note that the difficulties they're having in the House come from a
group of hyper-conservative, stark raving bonkers Republicans who want to
make sure poor folks have even less of a chance of getting health care and
the very rich get a bigger break. Should they get their way, the bill would
thankfully have even less of a chance of passage in the Senate.

I also understand that our good friends the Koch brothers have vowed to work
to defeat any of those hyper-conservative Republicans who break ranks and
votes for the bill.

Let me see if I understand this...There won't be a vote on the bill until
the desired outcome is known ahead of time??? Why bother to vote, then? I
am so disgusted with our government right now.
