I don't know whether to applaud the AP, or feel bad for Tramp and the Congress.  In one article, one reads all of the following phrases:

"humiliating loss" (in headline itself)
"humiliating setback"
"fail badly"
"stunning defeat"
"gamble failed"
"ultimatum rejected"
"answer to their own voters, not to the president"
"couldn't pull it off"
"congressional defeat"
"would ... lose big"
"pulled back from the brink"

One thing's for sure:  Boehner's lighting up yet another one, with a huge grin on his face, mumbling through the smoke:  "I told 'em so."
