I saw this news item just as it was being initially reported at about
5:30 PM EDT.  It took me about a minute to get over the shock
and to hear of the Trump forces implying it was because of the
Hilary e-mail episode.
 
Then I immediately realized (Hot Damn!) they were attempting
to control the FBI investigation of possible connections to
Trump forces and the Russians. So much for Sessions recusal.  
 
I'm sure the majority of Americans went through a similar process
with this information.  However, the 45%, or whatever it is, of  the
American public who are the die-hard Trump supporters will
undoubtedly take the Trump line as gospel.   They have
been trained not to expose themselves to either written or
television news where they would get the other side of the
