[Magdalen] Hymn choices...

Hi everyone...So I have a question for those of you who choose hymns... I was informed that in the Catholic parish I am currently workingfor she has chosen all three years worth of hymns... Year A B and C... and then each year we just use the same groupof hymns..Is this common practice? and when I worked for the Anglican why on earth did I choose all of those hymns for all of thoseservices and not doing what she is doing???
Is this laziness??? or what???
