[Magdalen] In South Carolina, it ain't over yet

Winter in Massachusetts is nothing like winter in Canada (at least, Ontario
& Quebec). Here in SE Mass., it typically rains in the winter as much as it
snows. In the 30+ I've been here, I can remember only one or two winters
where there was snow on the ground all winter long. The average high here is
never below freezing. And on the Cape they play golf all winter long.

I see that the Shenandoah Valley is in USDA Zone 7a (yearly low 0 to 5F),
same as Cape Cod. Here in SE Mass. we're in Zone 6b - yearly low -5 to 0.
The great majority of years here it never gets below 0F.

Admittedly, it's a lot colder and snowier in Vermont (zone 4a).

No disrespect meant, and I love you all, but Massachusetts, like Canada,
has WINTER. And my problems have to do with with the current state of the
USA, otherwise I would be okay right here in the Shenandoah Valley of
Virginia!
