[Magdalen] Powering Down.

A few weeks ago we got an email from the folks who installed our solar 
system saying that they now could add battery backup to it for when the 
power goes out. I said I was interested, but got a phone call from them a 
few days later saying sorry, but our local (municipal) utility has yet to 
figure out how to configure such things, so it's a no-go for now. Maybe 
someday.

At least, when the power gores out here, it never goes out for long.

I have a gas generator, which I hate because it’s LOUD.  I’d like to find an 
off-grid solar/wind powered battery system that generated just enough to
