[Magdalen] No mail...

Having known what I consider to be more than my share of people who enjoy declaring the idiocy of any who disagree (or merely fail to show sufficient enthusiasm in agreement), I wish to demur:  you're no idiot, and there is nothing close to consensus on MM's being the "I" in "In the Garden."
